About

Hi everyone! I’m Dr. Jonathan Nutt, owner and dentist at Integrity Dental of Yarmouth. I’m so excited to be a part of the Maine community and I look forward to taking the time to get to meet and know you!

One of my main goals in venturing out to start my own practice has been to bring back that personal touch that dentistry seems to have lost somewhere along the way. I hope to build not just a practice, but a dental home that’s centered around you, your family and your community.

Here’s a little bit more about me!

I was born in Massachusetts to my loving parents, and raised in New Hampshire in a wonderful little town called Londonderry. Did you know? Apparently the first potato grown in our country was grown in Londonderry after being brought over by Irish settlers!

As an undergrad, I attended Rivier University and received my Bachelor of Science in Biology.

While I was an undergrad, I organized a senior research project where I studied the effects different toothpastes had on the germs in our mouths. I also travelled to Haiti with my younger sister, Alie, and a crew of other biology students, and we worked together to test drinking water sources to make sure they were safe for the families who lived in those communities.

In 2014, I was accepted to the University of New England College of Dental Medicine as part of the 2nd incoming class in the school’s history, and made the move up north to Portland, Maine. The rest, as they say, is history! I fell in love with Maine, all of the wonderful people, the landscape, and all of the many places to eat. And not to mention my better half.

While I was a student at UNE, I had the privilege of taking part in the Old Port Fest (remember that?), Maine Deaf Culture Festival on Mackworth Island, the Special Olympics Special Smiles programs in Orono and Vermont, Give Kids A Smile Day in Ellsworth, and various other community outreach programs through local schools and the Greater Portland Y.M.C.A. I also proudly helped organize UNE’s first ever Miles for Smiles 5K and served as co-founder and President of UNE’s Aesthetic Dentistry Organization.

I graduated as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in May of 2018. At the time, I didn’t find many job opportunities around Maine, so I decided to look in my home state of New Hampshire, where I ended up working for 2.5 years. All the while, I always knew that one day I’d find my way back to Maine. Eventually I felt it was time for me to venture out on my own to start my own practice, something I’d only ever dreamt about since I was a little kid.

And here I am today, proud to find myself back in Maine and a part of the Yarmouth community. I’m looking forward to building relationships and smiles that I hope will last a lifetime!
